History of hydroponic gardening
When was the art of hydroponic gardening invented? What are the basic factors that contribute to hydroponic gardening? These are some of the questions that arise in our minds whenever we hear about the hydroponic gardening and its techniques. Hydroponic gardening is not a modern invention. The discovery was made by Egyptians and was carried out by Romans too. However, the concept of hydroponic greenhouse was invented in the seventeenth century.
Hydroponic gardening is a technique in which we can grow plants without the need of soil. The basis of hydroponic gardening is based upon the fact that roots absorb nutrients from soil along with water. So, all we need to do is to nourish the plant with hydroponic nutrients that consist of a mixture of essential nutrients and water.
This technique is seen as the future of gardening with availability of less arable land. Moreover, it requires less space and the idea can even be implemented in space where no soil or light source is available.
